Give Your Coaching Students a Place to Practice, Connect and Build Their Coaching Experience
Coach training gives students the knowledge and skills to become coaches. Practice is where those skills become confidence.
Coach Practice Exchange partners with coach training organizations, schools, educators and coaching communities to give their students and graduates an easy way to connect with other trained coaches for ongoing peer coaching practice.
By referring your students to Coach Practice Exchange, you can provide them with a resource for continuing their development, practicing the ICF Core Competencies and building valuable coaching experience beyond the classroom.
Extend Learning Beyond Your Training Program
Students often finish a training session excited to practice what they’ve learned – but finding appropriate people to coach consistently can be difficult.
Coach Practice Exchange helps bridge that gap.
Your students join a community of other coaches who are there for the same reason: to practice coaching and become better coaches.
Members can:
- Connect with compatible reciprocal coaching partners
- Practice with coaches outside their immediate training cohort
- Build coaching experience through real conversations
- Give and receive coaching
- Strengthen their application of the ICF Core Competencies
- Access structured coaching exercises through our Coaching Practice Library
Instead of leaving students to find practice partners on their own, you can point them toward a community specifically created for coaching practice.
A Natural Extension of Coach Training
Coach Practice Exchange isn’t designed to replace coach education, mentor coaching or supervision.
It complements them.
Your organization teaches students how to coach. We give them additional opportunities to practice coaching.
That makes Coach Practice Exchange an ideal resource for students who want more experience between classes, graduates who want to continue developing their skills, and coaches working toward professional credentialing requirements.
More Than Just Finding a Practice Partner
Membership also includes access to our Coaching Practice Library, with structured exercises designed around the eight ICF Core Competencies.
Students can choose an exercise before meeting with their partner and intentionally practice skills such as active listening, maintaining presence, establishing agreements, evoking awareness and facilitating client growth.
Each exercise provides enough structure to give the session purpose without turning the conversation into a script.
It’s deliberate practice students can continue long after class ends.
